Annual Function 2022
The Calyx family celebrated their eight anniversary with the Guest of Honour, Mr Pedro Sarro and the families of their employees. The highlights of the event included an emotional speech by the Director, Vishal Patil, a growth report by Compliance Head, Ajinkya Patil and HR Manager Vaibhav Patil , a few games and foot tapping performances by a dance troupe along with Siddhi and Virendra.
Lighting the Ceremonious Lamp
According to Indian beliefs, the stage is considered a seat of knowledge and the lamp a source of eternal flame lighting the path of knowledge leading to enlightenment. In line with this belief, Calyx Solutions set the ball rolling for the annual function activities by requesting the Director, Mr Vishal Patil to light the lamp. He was accompanied by his better half, Renu and his son, Vishnu.
Joining them on the stage were Mr Vishal’s parents Mr. Ashok Patil and Mrs Vandana Patil along with Mr Pedro Sarro who represented J S Anderson, an investor of Calyx Solutions and Mr Vaibhav Patil, the HR Manager with his wife, Mrs Shruti Patil.
Foot Tapping Performances
After lighting the lamp, it is natural progression to invoke the blessings of the Deity of Knowledge, Lord Ganesha. The troupe from Step Up Dance Academy took up the challenge! They had the guests tapping their feet and desiring for more.
Our teammates Siddhi and Virendra took up the challenge of entertaining their colleagues and other guests by dancing to the tunes of Bollywood.
Calyx Solutions, The Journey So Far
The journey of Calyx Solutions from its inception till date including all its achievements were then presented to the guests through a wonderful slide show presentation by Head of Compliance, Ajinkya Patil, and HR Manager, Mr Vaibhav Patil.
Corporate Social Responsibility
As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Calyx Solutions took the initiative of donating an amount of ₹25,000 to the Srimant Jijau Foundation, an NGO based in Kolhapur, India. This foundation has undertaken remarkable service in caring for pregnant women and new mothers from the low socioeconomic strata of the society. It has also adopted four schools in Kolhapur where the education of female students from the low socioeconomic strata of the society is being sponsored by providing them with school uniforms, curriculum text books, note books, and other study materials along with midday meals. The cheque was handed over to Sakshi Panhalkar, the founder of the Jijau Foundation.
GCL Global Group Investment
J S Anderson, a holding company of GCL Global Group of companies, came forward in April to invest a capital of £100,000 in Calyx Solutions UK Ltd raising the valuation of Calyx Solutions to £1M. This participation by J S Anderson will enable growth and expansion. The projected growth will be an increase in manpower by 50%. We are also looking forward to expanding into new markets and releasing new products.
Entertainment
After invoking the blessings of God, having had a detailed description of Calyx Solutions, its work, and contributing their bit to the society, it was time to let loose and have some fun. Multiple games were organised for the employees and their families that led to some new friendships being formed!
Memento Distribution
To make the memorable event unforgettable, mementoes were given to the employees. These mementoes were handed over by the family members as felt apt by the director, Vishal Patil.
The Director’s Speech
The director, Mr Vishal Patil, was requested to say a few words. From the minute he took the mic, the atmosphere turned sentimental as he started narrating the hardships he experienced during the journey of Calyx Solutions and the contribution of his family members.
